Interflow Welcomes Richard Johnson

March 2015 – Richard Johnson, a recent Civil Engineering graduate from the University of South Florida, has joined the Interflow Team as an Engineer Intern.  Richard is part of the USF Team that took first place at the 2014 FWEA and WEFTEC Student Design Competitions.  He is also the recipient of the USF College of Civil Engineering Fall 2014 Outstanding Graduate Award.  The award was based on recommendation of the USF faculty for outstanding academic performance, leadership within the college and university, display of professional attitudes when dealing with fellow students, and demonstrating potential for making a major contribution to the profession.

Before enrolling at USF, Richard spent several years in the construction industry as a licensed general contractor.   Richard will be assisting Interflow’s senior staff in a variety of tasks including preparing construction drawings, calculations, and construction observation.

City of Clearwater Awards 3 Work Orders to Interflow

February 2015 – In two meetings this month, the Clearwater City Council approved Staff’s recommendation to award work orders to Interflow for design, permitting, and construction phase services for three new stormwater management and utility retrofit projects.   The projects are the East Gateway Stormwater Improvements, Mango Street Outfall Improvements, and the Hillcrest Avenue Bypass Culvert.  Together, these projects will bring flood relief to dozens of homeowners, provide water quality improvements in watersheds draining to Clearwater Harbor, and provide much-needed replacements of aging and failing stormwater, water distribution, and wastewater collection infrastructure.
